Quiet life or is it...

Well it's how you take it...

We haven't been showing... 

but it doesn't mean nothing's going on...

And at the same time introducing the proud mother and "distant" member of our dog family :

She's also mother to our wonderful Helmi

She is normally living life as a pet with my sister and her family and is much loved there.
But is now staying with us during the puppy leave.

She's a real beauty and real sweet companion but didn't want to be a show dog.
She likes to go to town and every where else but not to the shows.
She just simply hates showing.
And you know lhasas...
if they don't want to do something...
it's useless to try and force them. :)

But if you have 11 children in age to gain a champion title
and 10 of them are champions and many multi champions...
I would say it doesn't mater and she surely has made up for not showing. :)

I am forever grateful to my sister for giving my loved one such a good home. <3

What's been going on...

It's been busy life...

We have been showing very limitedly as Helmi has been on puppy-leave. 

So we've only been showing the grand old lady Mandi.

And she's done well although it was very hot summer which wasn't always kindest for an old dog.

And during summer I've been struggling  with the decision 

should I continue showing her next year or not...

And as you can see from the picture she's now retired from the shows and is just enjoying life! :)
Although se did enjoyed the showing a lot.
She's my first show dog and could not have asked more!
Fine results and what more important a lot of sweet memories. :)

But although her coat is now short we still don't take walks on a bad weather...

as she still HATES getting wet more than anything!
She still stands on the steps under the roof and says
"Yeah right, keep on dreaming. Are you mad! " to me with her eyes. 

(only showing no mater the weather and showering makes an exeption on this.)

But been thinking if we would take on the obedience training again

And go and take a test on it...

Once years ago we have already taken one and she did well. 

But we'll see what happens whit that... :)

And in future we will continue showing with Helmi of course...
And what else will happen... well... we'll just have to wait and see. ;)

The Three Royal Superstars...

Saturday 19.6.2010 we had a little different day.

I woke up at 05:00 in the morning.

Helmi was showing sings of puppies birth being up coming in few days.

I kept look of her for couple hours but she started to sleep again 

so doubt nothing will happen today.

Maybe the next night.

So I decided to go on with my plans for the day as she was to be due on next wednesday.

But before starting the car, I called and woke up Sini

and asked her to check on her few times just in case, while I was running errands.

Day continued as planed and in the evening she was still in one piece.
I fed the children and put them in their beds and sat on the sofa for a moment.
After a while I got up and thought I'd go and do some housework in the kitchen.
But on my way there I took i peek at Helmi...
and it was instant change of plans...
She was pushing!

Quickly I whent to get the towels and at the same time phoned to Sini
the breeder of the puppies about to born,
that now their coming!
It didn't take more than a minute that I was back with Helmi but there she was!
First little girl was already in the world. :)
And on a nice pace she delivered another girl and a boy. :)
And she didn't make a peep while giving birth.
And what a mother she has been for them.
Couldn't ask for more. :)
The puppies have been so contented that if you didn't know that they are there
you certainly would not notice them.
And it feels they are growing right in front of  your eyes. :)

Oh...
and as for the royal...

It was also the wedding day of princess Victoria and her fiancé Daniel.
And the as for in sweden we also have now two princess and a prince. :)

Now the royals are two weeks old and have started to open their eyes. :)

Showing in Orivesi All Breeds 13.6.2010

And now that our dear sweet Helmi is growing her belly and is on leave from shows

we were on the move with Sini, our Grand Old Lady Mandi 

And Sini's Voitto (aka Nice Choice It's My Parti) who is our Mandi's son.

We had a nice day with nice results.

In breed ring Voitto ended up beautifully BM-2 

And Mandi BB-2 and BOB-Veteran. :)

Breed was judged by: Elena Spector from Argentiina.

Then it was time for the finals!

Best In Show Veteran was judgedg by:  Douglas Sidebottom, Australia

And Mandi again was so beautiful and resulted being...

BIS-3 VETERAN!! 

Thank you judges for appreciating our old lady still in grate shape.

And huge thanks to Sini for handling her in such perfection. :)
